Why We Need Qualitative Research in Management Studies

The purpose of this editorial is to outline the perspective special issue call for qualitative research tutorial papers in Revista de Administracao Contemporânea (RAC), as well frame need and its value larger management literature. In regard, will provide commentary on concept how differs from quantitative research, before moving a brief discussion why methods avenues answering questions producing which may be unable do alone. We also wish viewing complementary approach methods, rather than taking binary that privileges only one method or approach. This does not further ongoing paradigm wars seem perpetually plague academic research. Rather, we draw attention use while acknowledging alternative paradigms bring. doing so, acknowledge continued privilege has our field, attempt highlight ways can, at times, prove most useful approach, it valuable necessary complement methods.
